RECOVERY In SERI's COMMUNITY (  PDK )  PASIR PANJANG SEKINCHAN, SELANGOR DARUL EHSAN.

PDK? What is PDK and what establishment role a PDK?Rarely for local community especially in rural know what is PDK. Unless if they have or that mix closely with handicapped people or those involved with voluntary bodies only, however not many that know about.

 PDK or Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti is a society which carried out recovery process in local community. Where parent / other family members that nearest / community (relatives, local leader, organization / voluntary worker, NGO and government agency) played an important part in make the programme successful . It also an  effort to prevent and help disabled person especially phased by local use technology and low cost and use resources community.

Generally this Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti established in year 1993 however officially it established in 23rd of March 1994 and it located in a Pekan Pasir Panjang, Sekinchan Selangor Darul Ehsan (Please see Lampiran). It have area 80b foot x 30 feet. This remedial class to be held on every Monday till Friday start 3.00 o'clock in the afternoon to 6.00 o'clock in the afternoon. Registered client number nowadays this is amounted to 38 people that consisting of youth group and children.

Client in this OKU remedial class consisting of those who undergo various defect type. To facilitate and smoothen management in PDK Seri Setia Pasir Panjang, so one organising committee was constituted that consisting of Pegawai JKM, client keeper and man power of PDK .

Name for PDK SERI SETIA

PDK Seri Setia name selection was elected and it is proposal from a Pegawai Kebajikan Masyarakat Daerah, and this name think fit because it have insight that extensive and deep. This is because the SETIA referred to attitude obey and faithful. Whether faithful in all case which related management business, administration, economy, family and others. However that most important is loyal with trusts that have been accountable and do not commit betrayal which resulted lost belief and self respect.

Although PDK Seri Setia new still very young however on advice and coaching that have been administered by upper management such as NGO body, Majlis Kebajikan Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kebajikan Masyarakat Daerah officer, individuals that alhamdulillah management and administration workable easily and has been conferred as Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Terbaik Peringkat Selangor State in conjunction with Perayaan Hari Orang Kurang Upaya, and with the existence of bantuan-bantuan received, PDK side already able to provide facilities to this PDK Seri Setia, among them is :

Building, toilet, physiotherapy equipment, teaching aids, sports equipment, motor fine (equipment puzzle, handicraft dll), even music equipment
